Hierbij gaat het om de vrijheid die werknemers ervaren om zelf te beslissen hoe en wanneer zij hun werkzaamheden uitvoeren. Waar bijvoorbeeld in 2008 nog 65 procent van de werknemers aangaf regelmatig zelf te kunnen beslissen over de uitvoering van het werk, was dat vorig jaar 60 procent. In dezelfde periode nam ook het aandeel werknemers dat zelf de volgorde en het tempo van de werkzaamheden kan bepalen De NEA gaat na hoe het is gesteld met de werksituatie (werkomstandigheden, arbeidsvoorwaarden, arbeidsverhoudingen, etc), inzetbaarheid en gezondheid van werknemers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2013 hebben ruim 23 duizend werknemers de NEA-vragenlijst &#8211; die ongeveer 200 vragen bevat &#8211; op papier of via internet ingevuld. De cijfers zijn gewogen naar de verdeling van geslacht, leeftijd, herkomst, opleidingsniveau, bedrijfstak, regio en stedelijkheid in de doelpopulatie: alle werknemers van 15 tot 65 jaar die in Nederland wonen en werken.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zelfstandigheid, oftewel autonomie, is de mate waarin een werknemer zijn eigen werk kan reguleren. Het gaat dan om zowel de keuzevrijheid ten aanzien van de manier van werken, als de planning en volgorde van werkzaamheden. De NEA-vragenlijst bevat vijf vragen op basis waarvan de zelfstandigheid wordt gemeten:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Kunt u zelf beslissen hoe u uw werk uitvoert?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Bepaalt u zelf de volgorde van uw werkzaamheden?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Kunt u zelf uw werktempo regelen<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Moet u in uw werk zelf oplossingen bedenken om bepaalde dingen te doen?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Kunt u verlof opnemen wanneer u dat wilt?<\/p>\n<p>De werknemer kan daarbij een keuze maken uit drie antwoordcategorie&euml;n: &lsquo;Nee&rsquo;, &lsquo;Ja, soms&rsquo;, &lsquo;Ja, regelmatig&rsquo;. Op basis van de antwoorden op de afzonderlijke vragen wordt een score berekend die aangeeft hoeveel zelfstandigheid iemand in zijn werk ervaart. Hiervoor worden aan de verschillende antwoordcategorie&euml;n respectievelijk de waarden 1, 2 en 3 toegekend. Per persoon worden de waarden van de vijf vragen bij elkaar opgeteld en vervolgens gemiddeld. Hoe hoger de score, des te meer zelfstandigheid iemand ervaart.
